Friendly daily check-in calls for elderly relatives Register Start Free Trial
For families of older parents

"I'm fine" is what they say. It's rarely the whole story.

Most families find out something's wrong with Mum or Dad weeks after it started. Not because nobody cares, but because nothing checks in on the normal days. A friendly 60-second call every morning changes that.

New to this? Hear one of our check-in calls on your own phone first. Free, within 24 hours, and your parent's number isn't needed until you decide it's right for them.

The problem isn't the bad days. It's the quiet ones.

Decline is gradual, not sudden

Eating less. Moving less. Shorter phone calls. The signs of an older person struggling show up on ordinary days, usually months before a fall or a hospital visit. And they're the exact things a parent hides, because they don't want to be a burden.

"I'm fine" hides it

When you ring on a Sunday, they save up their best voice for you. In our data, families typically learn about a fall, a skipped meal or a bad week long after the parent already knew. Not from lying. From not wanting you to worry.

Loneliness makes it worse

Days with no conversation at all are common past 75, and isolation speeds up both physical and mental decline. A pendant alarm can't help with that. It only speaks up after the worst has already happened.

What most families try, and the gap it leaves

The pendant alarm

Useful in an emergency, but it only works on the worst day, and only if it's worn and pressed. It says nothing about the slow slide in the months before. Nobody presses a button to say they're lonely.

The daily phone-around

Ringing every day yourself sounds right until life gets in the way. And even when you do call, you get the saved-up "I'm fine" voice. It also quietly turns you from son or daughter into supervisor.

Care visits

Brilliant when needed, but expensive, and most older people don't need care yet. They need contact. A few hours a week still leaves 160 hours where nobody would know.

What works: someone checking in every single day

The evidence on healthy ageing keeps pointing the same way: older people stay well and independent for longer when someone checks in on them daily. That's what a Wellness Companion call is. A warm, natural 60-second conversation every morning: how did you sleep, have you eaten, did you get out for your walk? If anything sounds off, or the call goes unanswered, family gets a message straight away. If they say they're not okay, the call can put them straight through to you. Over 2 million of these calls are placed every month across the UK and US.

Common questions

Is this an AI or a real person?
It's an automated voice call. The same kind of check-in system used by care providers across the UK and US. If anything concerning comes up, a real human reviews it and flags it to you.
Will my parent know it's an AI?
Most don't notice at first. The voice is warm and natural. If they ask directly, the system will explain honestly that it's an automated check-in arranged by their family.
Do I have to give my parent's number now?
No. The demo is to your own phone only. Your parent's number isn't needed until you've heard the check-in for yourself and decided it's right for them.
Do they need a smartphone or an app?
No. Any phone works. Mobile or landline. No installation, no setup at their end.
How much does it cost after the demo?
A daily check-in plan starts at £19.99 per month in the UK ($24.99 in the US). Cancel any time. The demo call is free with no card required.
What happens to my phone number?
Stored securely. Used only to place the demo check-in to you. We're ISO 27001 certified and GDPR compliant. You can request removal at any time. See our privacy notice.
Why give the demo call away free?
Because hearing the service work is the only honest way to know whether it's right for your family. We don't ask you to enrol a relative until you've vetted it yourself.
